Gamakatsu’s newest addition to its Executive Series of fly hooks is the “Crippled Emerger". Having a unique bend on the shank of the hook makes it’s easy to see why it’s called that. The emerger pattern is a must amongst the well versed traditional fly fisherman, and fly tiers alike. As the C16-B can be tied as a nymph, as well as its namesake an emerger, a pattern known for an “insect that is newly getting it's wings”. The new “Crippled Emerger” hook should fit that bill, as it can be such a versatile hook for tying various patterns wet or dry.
